进入2010年，Symantec Endpoint Protection更新的时候出了点儿小小的问题。运行liveupdate之后，病毒定义等安全内容的日期还是停留在2009年12月31日。官方已经确认这一问题。 他们表示已经在着手处理这一问题，并进行了相关说明。

Symantec官方网站表示，虽然病毒定义日期停留在2009/12/31，客户端依然会收到新的定义文件。新的病毒定义会以附属档的方式进行更新，日期为2009/12/31，但是版本号为r116等。 目前客户端不需要进行其它操作。

Security Response will continue to publish Symantec Endpoint Protection security content with the date 12/31/2009, and will only increase the revision number of the content. More specifically the last certified definitions that was published on December 31, 2009 was “12/31/2009 rev. 041” version. The next certified definitions to be published will have a revision number greater than 041. As of Tuesday January 5, 2010; the Symantec Endpoint Protection Antivirus definition version “12/31/2009 rev. 116” has been published.
